The Runhouse-Hoops Project landed another prize recruit today when the big fella arrived via bus. This kid is very athletic and blocks shots by the dozens. In the first workouts and scrimmages he has also displayed a nice assortment of post moves. We will be looking to place him for this summer or fall semester.
Philadelphia native Kelli Sawyer has been named the Graduate Assistant (GA) at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Ms. Sawyer is a former Friends Select (2000 points) and Rider University player. She joins a growing list of Philadelphia area youngsters (Will Logan, Rachel Johnson….) to join the ranks of college coaches.
Kelli will bring great enthusiasm and dedication to her position and we know that she will be a great addition to the staff.
6′ 9″ Chris Angsomwine has arrived at Harcum College. Chris has promised to have a very productive year for Harcum and wants his countrymen back in Ghana to follow along online. He stated that one of his goals is to make Coach Claude Thompson of Cape Coast Hoops proud of his achievements both on and off the court.
Chris spent the weekend with his new teammates and coach and has adjusted well to life in the USA. He is especially fond of the food at the school and said he can’t wait to try an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak.
