Runhouse is pleased to announce our latest recruit. He is 6′ 4″ point guard Saykan Bestman. Bestman can do it all and sports a 41″ vertical leap to boot. Take a look at the videos of him from our team in West Africa - Cape Coast Hoops. He has been unstopable this current season. He is currently averaging 18ppg, 5apg, 8rpg.
Bestman is available for Juco and is NAIA qualified.

Chris Angsomwine, 6′ 9″ Forward, verbally commits to Oral Roberts University.
Kilgore, Texas - 6 October 2009 - Angsomwine has made the verbal commitment to become a student athlete at Oral Roberts University next season after completion of his Associates Degree at Kilgore Junior College. Angsomwine was one of the first players to come through our Runhouse-Hoops Project that we run in conjuction with Claudius Thompson of Cape Coast Hoops.
Sources close to the ORU staff think Chris Angsomwine has a chance to be a outstanding player in their system. He’s an athletic big guy that can run, has a good skill level and a strong body to defend and block shots. Chris has a tremendous upside. He is a great student and will be a great fit for the ORU campus & the Tulsa community

Want to thank you for inviting me to your showcase on September 26, 2009. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend but I look forward to viewing the video of the showcase. You and are organization are doing a wonderful job of assisting young men in obtaining basketball scholarships which in turn puts them in position to obtain a college degree, making for a better life for them and there families. It has been a pleasure working with you and I hold with high respect any kid recommended by you to my program.

“Excellence is the gradual result of always
striving to do better.”
Bilal Kelly, a former Strawberry Mansion star and now at Redlands Community College has checked in with the staff at Runhouse and Rasool Hajj. Kelly reports that the college workouts are ”very intense with a lot of running”. While classes may start at 9am that is by no means the beginning of the day for the lean athletic forward. Kelly also says that the “team gets up at 5:30am to run then workout with positional drills”
Kelly was an attendee of our 1st summer workout and earned his scholarship off the video of that workout that Rasool sent to the coach at Redlands.
Bilal, make sure with the day beginning at 5:30am that your going to bed early and that hard work will pay off. Perhaps you can join your brother at the next stop on your journey. Check back with us soon and let us know how the team is doing.
Daniel Armah, aka “The Accra Assassin”, got a chance to show Lakeland’s coach Cedric Brown his skills recently at Rick Ball’s Juco Showcase in Chicago.
Armah not only was the leading rebounder but also finished as the 3rd leading scorer. Coach Brown was very pleased with his newest recruit and has alot of confidence in his ability.
Speaking with Coach Brown last week also revealed that Armah has had a growth spurt and is now a legitimate 6′ 7″. When asked about the growth Armah simply replied “I hope I grow to 6′ 8″. We hope you grow as well Dan and feel confident you will have a breakout season with Lakeland.
Philadelphia native Kelli Sawyer has been named the Graduate Assistant (GA) at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Ms. Sawyer is a former Friends Select (2000 points) and Rider University player. She joins a growing list of Philadelphia area youngsters (Will Logan, Rachel Johnson….) to join the ranks of college coaches.
Kelli will bring great enthusiasm and dedication to her position and we know that she will be a great addition to the staff.
Will Logan has been named the Graduate Assistant (GA) coach at Missouri Baptist University. Logan formerly played for Franklin Learning Center, Positve Image (AAU) and Lock Haven University. He has also been a part of the Runhouse staff assisting with international recruiting. We wish “Billy” the best and know he will be a great addition to Coach Ray Farrell’s staff.
