Games at 10am,12pm,2pm.
This years rosters are shaping up well. Look for an even stronger cast of players than were featured last year. Also note that we are playing 3 games this year.

Once again it’s time to introduce the top middle school basketball talent that Philadelphia has to offer. The MLK Middle School Showcase will once again give us the opportunity to watch the best up and coming players in the area.

Happy to report that Khyree Wooten, 6′ 2″ guard from Imhotep Charter (HS) and Hunting Park (AAU) is doing well in his senior year. This rising senior should have a breakout year. So far he is averaging 20 ppg and 6 rpg.
Lawrence Fejokwu has committed to play for St Peters next year. Fejokwu has spent the past two years at Sunrise Christian Academy. The 6′ 9″ forward came out of the Runhouse-Hoops project which is a collaboration between Runhouse.net and Claude Thompson’s Cape Coast Hoops team in Ghana. This summer he also played with Larry Waiters’ AAU Positive Image team in Philadelphia. He was also chosen for the senior all star team in the Hoop Group Elite Camp.
Fejokwu was recently interviewed at Sunrise and discussed his career goals.
Please join the fight to end malaria in West Africa. Our goal is to provide 1000 bed nets for malaria prevention to children. The team has already distributed 200.
The latest arrival for the team is 6′ 11″ high school underclassman Malik Kuwornu. Malik is attending Princeton Day School in Maryland. Early reports have him playing very well. Malik is a player with good offensive post moves and a strong desire to rebound. He is working very hard right now in the gym and is expected to be an immediate contributor for Coach Van Whitfield at Princeton Day. Princeton Day takes on a national schedule and we are sure the big kid will develop into an outstanding prospect.
Much thanks goes out to the whole team (Claude, Meme, Van, Rasool…) for gettting Malik here. We also hear Malik has a 6′ 10″ sister. Stay tuned……

The RunHouse team in conjunction with the Urban Sports Rescue group will be hosting an open gym for seniors. The purpose of the workout will be to assist student/athletes with college recruitment. This will hold especially true for those in need of junior college placement.
