On a rainy Saturday morning in Philadelphia 75 talented youth attended the 2014 Philly USA Youth Development Clinic. Loaded with talent. Almost all of the top 15 in the 2019 class attended and made this a great event. There were high flyers, tight handlers and lock down defenders. Two of the top Ballers of the day where 6’6″ WF Mikael Jones and 5’8″ Point Guard Fatayn Wesley. They put in work on both ends of the court in each game they played. In the next few years these two will be leading their teams to championships.
Mikael Jones 6’6″ Small Forward. Started off the first game by making a poster. Dunked, Viciously in traffic on somebodies head, he put on display his smooth ball handling skills, and mid range game, also he actually played defense and block shots today, this kid can play off the bounce but don’t ever get it confused his drop step is official, and this is why he is the top prospect in the area!
Fatayn Wesley 5’8″ Point Guard. Can u say on the ball defense, he consistently covered opposing point guards and got straight up steals in each game he played, at one point took the ball 5 times in a row, on offense he got in the lane and finished strong, also made some great passes, he played tough and with heart, and he showed that when he steps on the court he means business, hit a couple pull ups, but his defensive intensity was real.
Keep an eye on these 2 young talents. In the next few years they will make their names heard throughout USA Basketball.
Rasool Hajj and Steve Little.
