Math, Civics and Science (MCS) has announced that lead guard Thomas Moore has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Globe Institute of Technology in NYC. Globe under the leadership of head coach Mark Morse won over 20 games last year and looks to continue its winning ways this year.
When Coach Morse told us that he had 9 spots open on his team we immediately thought of Moore as a candidate. We sent him the highlight video of Moore that was produced by Clahar 34 Films and Coach Morse liked what he saw. Globe competes in the top level (D1) of the NJCAA and was looking for hard nosed players. Moore took a trip up there that week with MCS Coach Lonnie Diggs and impressed the Globe staff.
Coach Morse of Globe issued this statement “On May. 20, 2011 Globe has signed Thomas Moore (Math, Civics and Sciences H.S), one of Philadelphia’s top PGs of the 2011 class. Thomas has been a proven leader, competitor and winner during his four years of high school. This past season he was able to lead his team to a state championship. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to coach a player of his caliber. I truly believe we have a diamond in the rough!! We know were getting a great kid, especially since he played under good fundamental coaches: Coach Jackson and Coach Diggs. He will very instrumental to the success of the program this season on and off the court.”

We just received word from Coach Morse that he has signed another Philadelphia player.
Coach Morse send the following statement:
“On May. 27,2011
Globe has signed Nigel Caldwell another under the radar prospect out of Simon Gratz H.S located in Philadelphia. Nigel is just what we were looking for at the SG position. He is extremely athletic and play’s hard! I was surprised that he was still available.
This season will definitely be exciting once again. Nigel and Thomas will definitely fit great in our up-tempo style motion offense and aggressive defense.”
