We are happy to report that Bartram forward Dijon Wright has committed to Genesee Community College in upstate New York. We received a call from Genesee Coach Terry George a few weeks ago concerning the availability of any post players. Wright had just come into the the Runhouse camp and had played well in his first game. We recommened Wright to Coach George and he came down to Philly the next week to talk to Dijon and watch a game. Everything went well with his talks with Dijon and his family and he signed the letter of intent that week.
Coach George issued the following statement about Wright: “Dijon will be an asset to the Genesee family.. His size, strength, and ability to contribute in the paint, both offensive and defensive should provide an interior presence for us. Dijon also works hard and seems eager to becoming a student-athlete, which is important for where we are trying to take our program.”
