The Runhouse-Hoops Project team has produced another student onto US soil this week. Reggie Agbeko will be attending a preparatory school in New York. Agbeko is the 8th student/athlete to arrive via our program in Ghana which is a joint effort between Runhouse and Cape Coast Hoops.
The 6′ 7″ small forward has already impressed his new coaches with his shooting ability and ball handling. Agbeko was one of the best forwards in Ghana this past year and is already preparing for the upcoming season with a regiment of conditioning drills and weight lifting. We look forward to seeing Reggie play this year and know he is in good hands with his support structure in Buffalo.
Runhouse along with Retroaction Sports will host our fall workout on October 2nd. The workout will be held at New Media Charter from 10am to 12n. The purpose of this workout will be to evaluate some of the new talent that has come into camp. This workout will be recorded so any coach wishing to view the video should contact me at email@example.com.

Don’t miss one of our sleeper picks for 2010-2011
This kid can shoot with the best of them, plays very hard and should have a breakout year.
We present Elijah Johnson, 6′ 4″ WG from Lamberton High School
We also want to thank Chris Clahar for talent evaluation and video creation. Chris is a recent grad of Rutgers-Camden and will be in the coaching ranks this year.
Former Robeson High star guard Jay Harris is currently at Charis Prep in North Carolina. Harris is an all city guard that is doing very well at Charis. His current coaches there state that Jay is a very hard nosed smart guard that won’t back down to anyone. They love his leadership and ability to know down jumpers. The Charis staff have rated Harris a mid to high D1 level player.
Harris played for our Runhouse team in the Positive Image League and we agree with the above assessment. We love the energy and quickness that he brings to the game. He can get around almost anyone and can stop on a dime for a pull up jumper.
Imotep’s Ameen Tanksley has committed to Niagara University. He will follow in a long line of area players that have played for the Purple Eagles. Tanksley stated that he liked the fact that former Imhotep teammate Kashief Edwards is currently there and that Niagara has had a successful tradition with Philadelphia area players. These players include Edwards, Tyrone Lewis, Bilal Benn and Charron Fisher.
Tanksley is poised to be one of the top players in Philadelphia area this year. He will likely fill the combo guard spot and have a role similar to the graduated Benn.
Former Philadelphia Electrical Technology (PET) player Kyle Baldwin will do a post graduate year at New Horizon Prep in Mississippi. Baldwin is an explosive 6′ 4″ wing player who displayed a vast array of moves in our various showcases over the past year. Coach Norris of New Horizon Prep says he is already one of the most athletic players he has ever coached and looks forward to helping him improve.
Former Imhotep Charter School standout Will Adams has agreed to attend Queen City Prep in North Carolina. Adams is a previous Philadelphia All-City performer who at 6′ 4″ can play the 2 or 3. We look for Adams to have a great year for them. Says Coach Jackson of Queen City ” Will Adams is a intricate part of the team. As a 6′ 4′ 190lb shooting guard we are impressed with his work ethic. We are also happy that he is already qualified and he will be taking college prep classes this year. Will is a big deal to me.”
Showcase 2010 MVP Quasim Jones has signed with Blinn Junior College in Texas. Jones is a former All-Public player who can really make things happen when out on the court. The Blinn coaches were at our 2010 Showcase when Jones exploded for 50 points. We have heard that they are thrilled to get him and we know he will do very well in the wide open Texas Juco League.
