Reggie Agbeko The Runhouse-Hoops Project team has produced another student onto US soil this week.  Reggie Agbeko will be attending a preparatory school in New York. Agbeko is the 8th student/athlete to arrive via our program in Ghana which is a joint effort between Runhouse and Cape Coast Hoops.

The 6′ 7″ small forward has already impressed his new coaches with his shooting ability and ball handling. Agbeko was one of the best forwards in Ghana this past year and is already preparing for the upcoming season with a regiment of conditioning drills and weight lifting. We look forward to seeing Reggie play this year and know he is in good hands with his support structure in Buffalo.

Amazing Jay Harris preps at Charis

Posted by Jack Whitehead on September 19, 2010

Jay HarrisFormer Robeson High star guard Jay Harris is currently at Charis Prep in North Carolina. Harris is an all city guard that is doing very well at Charis. His current coaches there state that Jay is a very hard nosed smart guard that won’t back down to anyone. They love his leadership and ability to know down jumpers. The Charis staff have rated Harris a mid to high D1 level player.

Harris played for our Runhouse team in the Positive Image League and we agree with the above assessment. We love the energy and quickness that he brings to the game. He can get around almost anyone and can stop on a dime for a pull up jumper.

Ameen Tanksley

Imotep’s Ameen Tanksley has committed to Niagara University. He will follow in a long line of area players that have played for the Purple Eagles. Tanksley stated that he liked the fact that former Imhotep teammate Kashief Edwards is currently there and that Niagara has had a successful tradition with Philadelphia area players.  These players include Edwards, Tyrone Lewis, Bilal Benn and Charron Fisher.

Tanksley is poised to be one of the top players in Philadelphia area this year.  He will likely fill the combo guard spot and have a role similar to the graduated Benn.
