The Runhouse-Hoops team is pleased to announce that 6′ 8″ star forward Odi Onyeka has arrived in Sarasota, Florida and will be a member of Coach Reginald Bellamy’s State College of Florida’s junior college team this upcoming season. “Air Oidi” was one of the best players on Coach Claude Thompson’s Cape Coast Hoops team this past season averaging 25ppg and 14 rpg. Having a wide range of skills enabled the very mobile player to play multiple positions (3/4/5).
Everyone involved is excited about seeing Oneyka play this season and he is already gaining interest from mid-majors.
A quick video of Oneyka in action from Ghana, West Africa.

Former star guard Lewis Leonard has decided to transfer from St. Bonaventure and will attend Tennessee Temple this semester. From 2006 to 2008 Leonard attended San Bernardino Valley Junior College in California where he was the 2006-07 Foothill Conference Most Valuable Player after averaging over 25 ppg.
Leonard will join former Philly all star player 6′ 8″ Ervin Spruill on the team. This will be Spruill’s first year at Tennessee Temple as well.
Senior guard Malcolm Eleby has decided to transfer from St Bonaventure to attend Northern Kentucky. Eleby is a former Philadelphia All-City selection who started a lot of games at St. Bonaventure. We look for Malcolm to have a big year at Northern Kentucky and have heard that the staff is very excited about landing him.
Two more players from our 2010 showcase have committed to D1 level junior colleges. The two players are Math, Civics & Sciences forward Andre Thomas (6′ 5″) and point guard Kwahmere Gredic (6′ 1″).
Thomas will take his hard style of play to Mississippi Delta JC while the super quick Gredic will be heading to Miles Community College. We wish both players the best and look forward to hearing of their moving on to 4 year schools in 2 years.
Last month the former Positive Image players and coaches gave back once again to the community with the 2nd Players teaching Players Clinic.
The pupils learned alot from these college players and seemed to enjoy the hard work that they were put through. This clinic runs every year at the Finley Rec Center.
